Do you have to hire an agent?

Because I am an agent, I believe that inquiring with an agent is the best move to make in buying any real estate property. But you don't have to if you prefer to go to open houses and look through a mumbo jumbo of homes online. Mostly, an agent will save you time.
Below are some of the things that real estate agents can do for you.
* Agents can pre-assess if you are qualified to get a home loan or mortgage before you jump into the buying process.
* An agent can send you listings directly from the developers list that fit your parameters, and you won't waste time looking at active short listings that are under contract.
* Agents often know of new listings coming up that are not yet on the market.
* Agents can find the sales price, terms and conditions that best match your criterion and budget.
* An agent will do most of the negotiations with the developer in your behalf.
* An agent will handle most of the paperworks and documentations needed for your loan or purchase.
* An Agent will know the pros and cons of the property that they are selling.
* You will not be wasting your own gas when you tour homes. Most agents provide shuttles or rides for free just to preview homes for you.
* An agent can generally spot overpriced listings and advise you accordingly.
* In almost every instance, the seller or developer's side pays the fee or the commission of the agent, so it will cost you nothing in extra to ask for any agent's assistance in a home buying process.
