Two Seven Residences 

Design. The Two Seven Residences is a project that carries over the successful principles of the space design aspects of One Capitol and takes it toward more progressive exterior expression.

The sitting windows are framed with differently oriented sunshades creating a lively array of forms seemingly offset from each other, one would readily not realize that all the windows consistently maintain their alignments on the façade. Connecting line surface elements join the vertical relationships between the windows, emphasizing a downward trickling fluidity from the top to lower units.

This illusion gives the building its feature character, angled folds on the side sets the building face inward creating inversion surfaces creating a secure enveloped feel. Angles on the main structure walls accentuate upright forms giving it crisp edges along the sky.

Two-tone color finishes in the inside faces of the folds and surfaces of the building and window canopies provide accent indication for shadows and light to play upon, giving the character depth. Overall a distinct and clever simplicity drives the building to be essentially what it is meant to be and more.
